Severe battery life difference between similar computers?

So I was looking at these two laptops:HP Pavilion dv7-4171us 17.3" Laptop | Staples®

HP Pavilion dv7-4272us 17.3" Laptop | Staples®

My question is, what makes the 3 hour battery life difference? Both have the same exact 93Wh battery. That seems huge. All the specs are all the same, except for the processor (2.2GHz triple, vs 2.0GHz triple), and the graphics cards are the same, just rebranded (5470 vs 6370). Does that extra .2GHz make that much of a difference? So if I undervolt the 2.2 saying that I buy that one, will I get 7:30 of battery life?

Neither of those will get 4.5 hours of battery life, let alone 7.5. If you actually need 6 or more hours of battery, you should be looking at 14" or smaller laptops.

Actually, the 4272 will get 7 at least. But that's irrelevant, what I'm asking is why there's such a big difference between the two. I'm considering buying one, but one is cheaper than the other and also has a better processor. The only thing that irks me is the battery life.

You're probably thinking of the standard 4-Cell battery, but these are 93Wh 9-Cells.

You'd be lucky to get 4 hours with the screen dimmed to 50%. I had a 17" Compaq with a 6-cell and typically got ~2 hours of batter life.

PCMag ran Mobilemark and got 7 hours out of it. This also has switchable graphics, so it saves power there.
