Thread Starter
As above

I faced stability issue when at 1666mhz but not at 1333mhz. Both are running at CL8. Everytime Memory-Management bsod.

I passed memtest64+

My ram is Team Xtreem CL8 1866 CL8.

Below are my bios settings

dram 1.7v
nb volt 1.24v
nb pcie 1.8v
cpu-nv vid 1.425v
cpu volt 1.475v

tanx !

Really weird. Must be a weak memory multiplier there.

Memory multiplier = the speed memory is running at in a multiplier of the bus clock. Some multipliers can be weak, i.e. on my board the 5.33x multiplier is weak sometimes for some people.

Boards can be finicky and rather frustrating. I finally solved a memory issue on my in-laws PC - the mobo refused to work with ~1.3v to the NB >1066, luckily 1.25 was enough to get the ripjaws stable at stock 1600. My same board/ram can run at >1.4v NB (but I only run 1.35v).

Try a few different things including lowering/raising NB volts (try raising NB in particular) and ram voltage.

Another way would be to increase your FSB and use a different divider (what is currently 1333 will increase to about 1600 with 260 FSB). Plus you can bump NB freq that way too.

Your ref clock needs to be at a value where using a certain multplier will give you 1600Mhz or so. i.e. 300 x 5.33, 240 x 6.66, 200 x 8
