I can not get past boot from CD.

Hey guys, I have a problem that I have never encountered - or heard of for that matter - and I am kind of stuck. I formatted by boot drive and re installed my OEM copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 but now I can not boot to windows unless I keep the installation disc inserted in one of the drives.

I have set the boot priority back to Hard Drive/Disc/External of course but I noticed the issue after I had done this, and then proceeded to disable the secondary boot options without success. I reset the settings in the bios but I still could not boot past the Boot from CD as it prompts me to insert the system disc and press enter. I came to a certain point of frustration and reset the CMOS thinking that has to help, but it didn't. Now I am booting my computer with the system disc inserted and it takes 10 seconds to skip the insert cd prompt... please help me.

How did you format it? Did you delete everything on the drive using the windows gui? Or just selected format? You can use this to format it if you think it was a problem. But sounds like all the files didn't install on the drive.

Oh man. I'm guessing if I create an image of my current OS installation and use that after a second format the problem would remain?
