Making games load faster? - Page 3

When a game loads information is being fetched from the hard disk (such as texture data) which gets banked into a graphics cards dram, and the pc's dram. So the speed of these assets play a mentionable part in your systems loading time as well. The hard drive is not always the greatest determining factor for game load times as some have indirectly suggested. It really depends on what cpu/mobo/ram architectures you are using and their frequency/timings.

Ive seen many reviews of SSD's that show that they only reduce game load times by a few seconds (very much unlike their performance loading operating systems).

Have you installed all your programs? Well you need to defrag. Now the 3 minutes launch time is messed up, have you tried completely removing it and downloading again?
