Catalyst AA force

Thread Starter
Should I force AA in black ops, do I need to have AA turned on in black ops if I use the Catalyst, also I noticed in Crysis the AA didnt change when I forced through Catalyst I still saw jaggys. The only reason I want to use it for black ops is because sometimes I get fps drops to 40 and when i just force it I dont go below 60 it would stay at about 100. Also if the Catalyst didnt work in Crysis will it work on black ops?

Turning AA on in any case should lower performance. When you said you still see unsmooth textures, what amount of AA was set?

Forcing AA on in Catalyst should have worked in Crysis. Are you sure to applied your settings before closing the control panel?

Yes I set it to 4x on Catalyst and then I also used edge detect (12x) didnt see any changes, so I turned it up to 8x and still the same things I obviously restarted the game, but when I use Crysis default AA settings I can see a big change

Are you dechecking the Use application settings check box in CCC.(just making sure)

Also most games in my experience run better with application AA settings and more so in Black Ops which I guess is because its not exactly what one would call a well optimized game for pc.

you just want to force edge AA through CCC, and just use in game AA settings.
