Yeah your CPU is too weak. Try more agressive settings to see if the GPU ussage goes up

according to Nvidia my cpu should be fine. and I'm on the most aggressive settings at the moment.

even if my cpu was a bottleneck wouldnt i get the same or better frame rates from an sli set up compared to a single card when the single card is 99% usage when it's alone?

cpu being too weak just makes no sense to me because when i asked people here on OCN before if my setup would bottleneck a 570 or sli set up, the general consensus was not in games but in benchmarks yes..

I came from a Q9550 @ 4Ghz yeah at 4Ghz to a I7 at 4Ghz and man there is a difference in fps. That's on a single card too. In my case it wasn't a bottle neck but in your case it might be.

Also search for BFBC2 sli issues in this forum, you will find that game runs like crap without an i7 if using Nvidia cards

The demo doesnt support SLi without some hack.

what games were you seeing a difference in? and by how much?

do you understand what i meant by if one card runs at 99% usage and gets 45 fps that two cards should get at least 45 fps and not actually take a hit? you coming from a 9550 to an i7, i'm hoping you can provide some input...

EDIT: Nvidia has told me that this is an issue with micro stutter that they've been having with the gtx 560 ti cards in sli. they don't think that it's hardware related and they believe that a new driver update soon will fix the issue. I guess it's not my CPU not being good enough

here's a snippet of my recent conversation with them
"Thanks for waiting. My colleague escalated your case to be for a 2nd look. I researched your issue further and it appears that we are in process of investigating this micro-stuttering bug in SLI.
As soon as as we fix this, we'll integrate it into out future driver updates. On behalf my my Dev teams, my apology for the inconvenience."
