RAID disappeared

So a few days ago I successfully set up my first RAID 0.

Now it's gone.

Don't know what happened. I tried to install an Nvidia SATA update that Windows recommended and that failed. But that was it. It was working yesterday, about 14 hours ago, and I didn't shut off my computer. When I went to turn on my Xbox this morning I noticed the folder to the RAID was gone. Suspicious, but whatever. Gonezo.

I tried to update the drivers, got a BSOD, 7E. Ran WhoCrashed and I got these:

On Sun 2/27/2011 7:31:03 PM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\\Windows\\Minidump\\022711-27502-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvrd64.sys (nvrd64+0x2622)
Bugcheck code: 0x1000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8800B4FB622, 0xFFFFF88008981918, 0xFFFFF88008981180)
Error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M

vrd64.sys
product: NVIDIA nForce(TM) RAID Driver
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA® nForce(TM) RAID Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that a system thread generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvrd64.sys (NVIDIA® nForce(TM) RAID Driver, NVIDIA Corporation).
Google query: nvrd64.sys NVIDIA Corporation SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M

What happened. I can go into the RAID config in the BIOS and it says it's there and healthy.

I'm about to try a system restore, but with my luck it will be to no avail.

Crysis averted. System restore worked. This really just shook up my RAID experience though...

Anybody got any info on software RAID's? Or anything safer?

Or any info on what the hell actually happened? I'm still curious so as to avoid it in the future.
