the best gaming mouse????? - Page 2

There is no best. It all boils down to personal preference.

G9x is a great mouse imo, it has 2 customizable grips and on the fly DPI adjustment which can go up to 4500 DPI and you can have five different settings for it saved. 5 button mouse also.

If you use a craw grip I would recommend this mouse.

Razer's use the Philips Twin Eye Laser which has problems. The Avago sensor is the best. It's an optical, I think. I don't know the difference though.

I forgot it. It's basically the Microsoft version of the Xai. It's nice too. I heard the Xai has flimsy build quality compared to the Naos though.

Roccat Kone+ doesn't apply if you are in the US however, as you will have no warranty support.
I heard that the Kone+ doesn't have as good build quality too. Plus, lots say that the Naos has the best ergonomics. I'm not trying to say the Kone+ sucks. It's a nice mouse.

Deathadder 3.5G because the Kone and the Xai both have positive acceleration. I would say to get the Deathadder 3G rather than the 3.5G because the 3.5G has issues tracking at higher speeds.

My favorite is the Zowie EC2 followed by the Deathadder then Xai.

That's been fixed for awhile. A few firmware updates before 2.41 to be exact. Razer's is currently on FW 2.44

The Roccat Kone+ fits my hand better than the Naos, but thats completely subjective. Hell the G700 beat both of them, while I wasn't impressed with the G500 (mostly a difference in height, the G700 is taller).

The build quality of the Kone+ is ridiculous. It was the original Kone that had build quality issues.

In my opinion? I'd say the Kone+ and the Naos are about equally excellent, but the Kone+ does have better software and some better features, but at a price.

If I could do it all over again, I would get the Naos since I just recently found out that Roccat doesn't honor the warranty if purchased in the USA (from Performance-PCs) and I broke the scroll wheel (10-20 pound text book tossed on top of it). Also the Naos can be had for $80 or less if your lucky.
Slowly upgrading.

Personal preference really...I use an MX518 for day to day computing and a RAT 7 for gaming. (which is a great mouse that prefers black, non-reflective surfaces)
