Paper Weight or Target Practice. You don't want to hook it up to anything. No one with any integrity would even think of selling or giving it to anyone else knowing that it could very well destroy their system,
Target practice sounds good. I just bought an AK-47 I have been waiting to shoot. Now I have a reason.

Make double sure to wear eye protection if you're closer than 50 yards, a PSU will generate a lot more shrapnel heading back your direction than a paper target will.

And be sure to make and post videos of it.

Well, the only thing I'd consider using it in was a PC made of old parts that wouldn't get used anyway. Like if you have an old P4 or Athlon lying around in a motherboard with some DDR (or whatever else you were using at the time) RAM and a graphics card that you wouldn't care if it died. Put Linux on it and you have a nice secondary machine for surfing the web. Of course, it might have problems with the odd Java app, but by and large it'd work just fine... but anything you'd kick yourself over losing, don't. Also don't leave it on overnight. That 0.0001% chance it'll burn your house down might not be reassuringly low enough if it ever happens.

Gotta try out my new scope so it will probably be at 100 yards. I'm so angry with the power supply I may even borrow my friend's .300mag. And I will be sure to post video if I decide to do it.

Hah, nice.

Obligatory: remember all rules of gun safety, wear ear protection, keep a good backstop, make sure there's no one in front of the firing line, etc.

Sorry, one dad's a safety engineer, the other's a gun safety nazi (which is the best kind).

I think I'm going to get this power supply instead. It is on the recommended list and I like the idea of modular cables. The one thing that has always bothered me when doing a build is all the cables getting in the way. It is only $5 more that the corsair I was going to get.

On another note I was talking to a friend today that has an old pentium 4 setup that he needs a power supply for. He said he would give me $20 for my Diablotek. Is it reliable enough to power that system? I would feel bad if I sold it to him and it didn't work or messed up his computer or something.

No it isn't. It isn't reliable enough to run ANY computer period.

Well the power supply I wanted went up $30 over night so I think I will get this one. When i click on the link on the recommended list it shows a 750w model of this power supply instead of 650w but I am guessing they are built with the same quality but I could be wrong.

All of the TP News are good and reliable. You won't go wrong with that 650.
