watts too low/bad power supply? - Page 5

well I ordered the Antec and should have it by Thursday. I'll let you know what happens when it is all hooked up. Thanks to everyone for helping me out. I can't wait to see the improvement in air flow from the modular feature. Only thing I need now is a few more fans and a fan controller then I am done spending on this build for a while. I need money for my projector build next.

Just got the new power supply in and so far so good. I am impressed with how little room the cables take up and I don't even need the modular cables (for now anyways). I think I will let it run for 24 hours and if it makes it I will consider the problem solved unless someone has a better idea.

If you have a problem it will more than likely happen in the first 30 days or so. That's when most of the manufacturing defects tend to show up. If they last past that then they tend to last a long time unless they are physically damaged. I'm betting you get several years of reliable use out of it.

I am not worried about the power supply, it has a 5 year warranty if anything goes wrong. I am worried about the issue I was having with my graphics and audio cutting out. With the other power supply it never made it past a couple hours so if it makes it 24 hours without cutting out I wont be as worried.

Well it has been 24 hours and everything appears to be fine. I would recommend the Antec power supply to anyone who wants a good power supply for a good price. Thanks to everyone for the help. Now it is time to head over to the air cooling section for fan controller advice.
