Xoom if you have the money. It's going to be a free LTE upgrade too. Kinda pricey, but very feature rich.

You can always get a nook color and root it then drop a custom rom on her. They have a honeycomb rom running on it sort of lol!

Galaxy Tab is mediocre if you want to just get by. The Galaxy Tab S will be really nice. specs wise.

Honestly, waiting another few months will be so beneficial for your wallet, there are so many tablet releases coming up that waiting will either get you a better tablet or drop the prices of the current ones significantly.

I am looking for something around $200-$300 if possibly. She wants to be able to surf the net and check email and that is pretty much it.

Ill second the nook color notion. I have rooted mine and its awesome for web browsing.

Haven't tried any of the Honeycomb ROMs yet though.

Give it another month or two and then get a galaxy tab(the price should drop when the new tablets are released). Its a nice tablet (had a play with one in a store, I say their ok stock but if their rooted and have a good rom on it it'd be lightning fast) and there is a pretty good dev community supporting it.

I think I will wait. I hope my laptop brings in a decent amount of cash.

You can go over to the apprasials section and ask, I'm sure they'd be glad to give you a general idea

For $250, get nook color all the way, can run Honeycomb.

So can the galaxy tab, and so can the evo, and so can my desire. Your point is moot. I still stand by the galaxy.
