Just googled the batch and didnt find anything. My advice would be to OC it yourself and if it sucks just return it within the return time tongue.gif. The 960 and the rest of the 900 quad core series are identical except for stock clocks. If your gonna OC, you might as well look for a 920 or 930, they have really good potential.

the only difference is the stock clocks and the multipliers, so you would be better off with a D0 golden chip such as the 920, or the 950 which are all D0's

Well i would have bought the 930 but i got this 960 after the price drop for 300$ so i just couldnt pass it up and golden 920's dont last long on here. I'm still waiting on parts to finish my computer so i figure ill just wait and see what i can get it to myself. Just was hoping for a general idea if someone had the same batch

Hey. yeah i've had a 960 for three or four months now and there's not much info esp with regard to batches.. I'll check mine and let you know but it's not a but one.. Sitting at 4.5 24/7..

Keep in mind those that answered earlier.. not only is base clock higher but the multi enables a high OC with less QPI stress etc.. i.e speeds can be lower while blck is higher.. this aid with overclocking.. I.ve 12gb ram also at 2000 so i know what i'm talking about...

especially since price dropping i'd be choosing a 960 over 920/930 any time..

Cheers and good luck.

You're messing it all up dude.

base clock is lower, multiplier is higher - higher clock, less baseclock.

Do you "the master" know what the QPI is?

Just because you've got 12GB of 2k MHz RAM does'nt mean that you know what you are talking about. - I'd bet you bought 2 packs of 3x2 @ 2000 pre-clocked. You know it's not ever good to fill all 4/6 RAM slots right? wink.gif Gets stressfull for the controller.

The ones who knows what they are talking about would suggest to clock the most in your system, for 4GHz go x20 on the multi and 200 base

Simple and good!
