GTX 580 sli Running At 95-100% in Crysis

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I've finally completed my first build and have been trying some new games to test out my performance. I've been playing Crysis for the past few days and have noticed that EVGA Precision is reading that both my gpu's are running completely maxed out. Note that I have everything set on highest settings on 1920x1080 resolution, AA included. Is this normal? Please be kind as I mentioned before that this is my first build and I'm very new at this. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, you want your cards to be utilized. If you're only seeing 30% utilization, then you'd have a problem.

Business as usual .

Yup, no problem here. As awesome as those cards are, Crysis will still make them work for your fps.

I'm somewhat confused by this. GPU utilization is not a bad thing.

i wouldn't think it would MAX them out all the way lol

Crysis is still a hard game to play maxed out.

try turning AA off and see if your usage goes down a bit.
AA on highest will use alot more gpu power.

I know right....not to be a smart ass, but it would be like questioning why you have to use full throttle to accelerate as fast as possible in a supercar......

If you were seeing max GPU usage during an intense solitaire session then I might understand.

If you want to see less than 100%, you'll need to set some sort of FPS cap. Not sure even if Crysis has that option. Otherwise, the GPU's will crank out as much FPS as possible.
