Official Graphics Card Timeline - Page 4

Greedy bastards...

A good game developer can make an awesome looking game that will play on a solid mid range and lower mid range card with good fps but instead you need to upgrade every 6 month and then wait for a patch to fix their pre released 'beta' like product.

Same with gpu's and cpu's, wow runs cooler and better.
Why not get it right the first time.

Original statement. Greedy bastards.

Changed the HD 7870 to HD 7970.

Does anyone else think I should add mid-to-high-end cards, as well?

I think it would clog the list.

Anyone want me to make a second list for those cards?

I'm open to ideas.

Nice chart on the GPU's I had a look through was interesting to see comparisons of different cards I've used over the years.
Thanks for the work on it!
I don't use many older cards anymore but I'm sure others might find a chart like that useful/helpful.

Thanks, Kiwwanna.

I just wanted to give some perspective on how the industry has been going for the last half decade, so people could understand it better and know where it's going.

It's also a nice way to catch up on nostalgia.

Good work, although I dislike the successor column. Either get rid of it entirely or do not have it staggered. Staggering it with the other rows just makes the chart harder to read.

It literally took me hours to come up with that.

I think once you get used it, it'll be as clear to you as it is to me.

I could steal it right now if I wanted to. You've already published the results to the public...

In the end the only thing I'm trying to say is that I think the Successor column looks better like this. Excuse the other formatting changes as it did not copy and paste perfectly, and I don't care enough to deal with it.
