Can I run 2 gfx cards 2gether?

Ok probly noob az question.

I read about people having 2 cards in SLI and 2 cards with a secondary for physx.

I have galaxy gtx480.

If i buy
MSI Geforce 430GT DDR3 OC 1GB N430GT-MD1GD3/OC/LP
With 785 core clock.

And put it in with my gtx, what benefits can I get?

Can I use it to "expand" the graphics cabability of my machine ?

Will games go faster?

Or can I just use it for physx and nothing else?

Or, what if i get

EVGA Geforce GTS450 1G OC PCI-Express Video card , DirectX11 ??

882 mhz core

Im wishing to find out if i can run another card WITH my gtx, not speaking of replacing it.

You can only SLI or xfire/crossfire identical cards.

The only thing you will be able to do with the GT430 is Phyxs

Yep. I don't think it would be worth it. It's unlikely you play anything that supports Physx.
However, if you got another GTX480, then that would be a definite yes. That's a totally different conversation.

SLI requires two video cards of the same model number.

No, you will need another GTX480 to SLI it.

You can use it for Physx though.
If used for Physx, then you should be able to take advantage of it in games like Mafia2 which is enriched with Physx features.

Why do You need another GPU for PhysX? Your GTX 480 is enough powerful to get You good framerate at high resolution and level of details in any game. Second GPU for physx benefits only when You do a lot of tests in 3DMarks. Then You'll see difference with/without additional GPU.

If you get a specific MSI Fuzion motherboard, you can run two different cards together, as in fake sli, don't know how it works exactly, but you should look at their website for more info, or just google. Don't know if this is a good option. Or expensive..? I don't know.

Actually you can Xfire/SLI cards that aren't identical, but they have the have the same GPU/be in the same series.

E.G The Radeon 68xx series

You can crossfire a 6850 & a 6870 and the 6870 will downclock to a 6850.
