Current AM3 board do not and will not support BD end of. People should stop getting so excited otherwise you'll be in for a huge disappointment.

1. The CH IV won't support BD, unless you plan on pulling one of the pins off the cpu.

2. You didn't want to buy another mobo for BD, so you bought another mobo for SB? That makes perfect sense, great logic.

I guess AM3 mobos won't support BD at all, even with bios update.. And even if they did, I don't see why people wouldn't buy a new AM3+, since they will feature all the new stuff

AMD mobos are cheaper than intel's, probably we may get a great AM3+ mobo for like, $120

I would not be mad I got sandybridge, really good chips. And we still don't have solid info on Bulldozer performance.
Also looking at the article, looks like AM3 boards don't support bulldozer, MSI are releasing a new board which will.
I can entirely see AMD bringing out a Bulldozer that will work in AM3 - perhaps with features removed, but at a discount so they can sell the units that don't make the full grade. They will need something, since AM3+ is not available yet, but people will want an upgrade path. And AMD is smarter than Intel, because we all know Intel releases new and incompatible sockets faster than Gadhaffi moves his tent these days...
