yeah of course mobile SB is faster then Nehalem..so what it's a Mac? it's not it being a Mac that makes it faster..it's the fact that it has more "up-to-date" and faster internals that makes it almost twice as fast as the previous generation Macs. nothing much to say here...

We are comparing apples to apples... its not like they pitted mac vs windows machine... I don't believe any here said its a mac so its faster...

Apple has never raised prices with a refresh/update/redesign. The prices are always the same for the latest version. The older ones are sold cheaper as refurbs.

edit: example, I bought my top end 15" macbook 2 years ago which had the same retail price as the current/new high end 15"..2.2k

This should not be news. If a different laptop manufacturer started using quad cores instead of dual cores it would not be news, it would just be what is expected to happen over time.

It is when you make 6x as much as some of the largest computer manufacturers and you have a cult following bigger/stronger than any other.

Nobody asked any of you to read it yet everyone is saying it's not news. "Non-news" is being posted every minute on some of the largest news outlet. This is more interesting news than half of that crap.

Just saying...

Cheap price or cheap materials? You can expect the latter with anything Apple makes. tongue.gif
