I wouldn't get anything but a T2i.

Even though the D7000 and the D300s discussed are better cameras than the T2i, being semi-pro bodies whereas the T2i is an entry-level body?

Better how? They take worse photos at lower MPs and cost more.

If you want the ergonomics of the D7000, get the 7D.

Don't beat around the bush with Nikon.

I know people who absolutely refuse to shoot with anything besides a 5D or a 1Ds, but I had a 5D for 2 months and I brought it back.

It simply didn't do anything worthy of 4x the price. Same goes for the 7D for 2x.

Truly, there is no way to make a clearer point.

I bet you think that the D90 has better IQ than the T2i at 12MP.

So... you're saying lower MP = worse pictures, and that crop > full frame, and Nikon ergonomics = Canon ergonomics?

...

Yea I think that about covers it. Don't think there are any other noob mistakes that you didn't cover there.

I think that the 5D, even being much older than the T2i, has better IQ because of its FF sensor, that you can't compare Nikon and Canon ergonomics because they're both too different, and that you equated MP to IQ.

Like I said, very noob mistakes. Just because you don't know how to properly use a 7D, D7000, or 5D doesn't mean the T2i is better. It just means your level of understanding is suited to that of an entry level camera. Condescending? Hell yes it is, but I get majorly ticked off when people run their mouths off without any clue about what they're talking about. I'm also at how you think so lowly of Nikon when many photogs greater than both you or I shoot Nikon as well. If Nikon was so horrible, they wouldn't be Canon's greatest competitor.

In other words: noob fanboy.

Canon 7d hands down. It fits nicely in the hand, packed with new features, and still has great video. oh yeah...8fps! Sports shots heaven!

No, no. You misunderstood.

Lower MP + Worse quality = Worse pictures.

If you want to argue that Nikon has better IQ-per-pixel than Canon.. go right ahead.

Where did you see this?

The D7000 uses an APS-C cropped sensor, and D300s sure as hell doesn't use a Full-Frame.

You're trying to say that Nikon is better?

That's subjective and I disagree.

Except calling someone out randomly and for no good reason.

Thank god we have you to cover that.

Worse quality how? That it has some of the best high ISO noise management I've seen in a <$1500 body? That it has more than two stops of dynamic range than the T2i? Higher max ISO?

That's also ignoring of course the pentaprism viewfinder, weather sealing, tougher magnesium alloy body, dual memory card slots, faster burst rate, CA correction, and AF microadjust, all of which the T2i lack.

The fact that you talked about how you owned the 5D before moving to the T2i. The 5D is a full frame body and is capable of much better IQ than my or your camera.

I'm saying it's stupid to go "If you like D7000 ergonomics, go for the 7D" because the two are completely different.

Fix'd.

To sum everything up: The T2i is a great camera, but it's completely asinine to put it on a pedestal like it's the best camera there is.

If you're going to immediately go on the offensive and appear so self-assured, it might be best to include some hard evidence so you don't appear to be such a fanboy. Just sayin'.
