Can I use this to plug in my Xbox to monitor?

It seems it's meant for video cards.

I have my xbox connected to speakers through optical. I'm trying to plug in my xbox through the dvi port on my monitor. The monitor only has VGA and DVI.

I want to be able to use HD output from the xbox.

Edit: Xbox 360.

this looks similar to what i got my xbox hooked up to, im using an optical adapter that came with the .. hdmi cable (i think thats what it comes with).

The set up im using is xbox > hdmi to dvi> dvi to component> component to projector. so you should be able to use that.

Edited.

It looks like it should work. All you have to do is plug it in. The YPbPr output supports 1080p, so I'd suppose. But I'm not sure since YPbPr is Analog and DVI is Digital.

EDIT: I don't think MR KROGOTH understood the question.

DOUBLE EDIT!!!: If you read the product description...
