Maybe something to do with CF modes changing. I am going to try right now with HD 6950.

To be honest, I could care less about the visuals, gameplay is where it's at. The single player campaign should be well worth the $60 (judging from the story trailer that was released recently).

Why would you pass on having both? It's what you're paying for. What if the GTX 580 you had gave you high frame rates and poor image quality, would you still be happy with it? Or would both be nice? Would you still have bought it knowing the image quality was greatly inferior to other models?

Don't choose one over another, the developers are very capable of delivering great gameplay and visuals.
The ones who don't go the extra mile to create great visuals didn't want to in the first place.

What I am trying to say is that if indeed the game ships with DX9, I will not be disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the cutting edging graphics. But if a game has incredible graphics and flatout crap gameplay, would you still find the game enjoyable? I think not. You can call me old school if you want, but that's how I look at things. I know I will probably get flamed for saying all of this, but I stand by what I say. In my playbook, gameplay always comes first.
