I think they will. Why add the extra manpower and expenses to your project when all those who whined about a demo will do is whine about the most mundane stuff for your game? I could only imagine being a dev, making a demo and hearing the following:

"ZOMG, it says 'press start'. CANCEL PREORDER!"
"It has aim-assist?! WORST GAME OF ALL TIME EVAR!!!"
"An FPS with not enough recoil?! OMG COD CLONE! No BUENO!"
"Dx9 graphics?! OMG DO NOT WANT ROFLCOPTER!"
"4 guns for the demo?! EFFF YOU CRYTEK!!!!!"
"LOUD NOISES!"

I would HATE making games for you guys! HATE IT!

Only reason I root against NVidia to be brutally honest is how they basically took over the market. By getting the Developers to write code specifically for their cards. Which is fine on the surface of it but you just know there was some backroom dealing going on. I'm glad the pendulum is swinging the other way finally now that AMD has gotten into the Graffix game.

Oh no doubt, some companies are evil. Not to say AMD couldn't be that way some day but I dislike Nvidia AND Intel for their business practices. But I don't engage in that petty fanboy stuff.

I'm sure it can be done. But I think that you have to slide down a taller flight of stairs. Something appropriate to the mass*inertia=speed mechanics and would DEFINITELY have to be facing the set of stairs one wishes to slide up. Oh and don't forget you need a flat surface at the base of those stairs for your toboggan or will be seein ya on America's Funniest Home Videos or some such show. lulz

This Intel/Nvidia fanboy that owns a PS3 (for MK 2011) still demands DX11!

Yet another person who misses the point. Those are the tell tale signs that this game is scaled back for console support. People don't hate it for those reasons. We don't like the game because they got rid of the majority of what made Crysis 1 really cool. You can't deny that the game formula has changed big time from Crysis 1 to Crysis 2.

If you like the game, congratz. It's just classic that they had the "press start" and the "hardcore graphics" setting + auto aim. They didn't even try to cover up the "portyness" of the game. That is our point... I will say that I enjoy the game, just not to the extent that I could have.

The game is FUN, offers plenty of variety and is as stealth or as action packed as you want it to be.

What about the gameplay of Crysis 1 wasn't fun or balanced to you? What about it made it a tech demo to you?

While I'd love Dx11, since i have a 5850, I realize that I'm 7% of the entire gaming community who can, so I understand when a dev passes on it.

I dunno, why ARE you?! Right now is a great time for PC gaming in the sense that you've NEVER had a time where your GPU purchases stretched longer. But you're a 'glass is half empty' kinda guy i guess.

Actually a lot of you are suckers. How many ppl buy +$600 setups just for some stupid bench program?

Here's the thing. I'm 29. I've been through the vast majority of gaming platforms. I've been PC gaming since before Doom. The cool thing about PC gaming has always been that the gameplay was different than anything else. Sometimes the graphics were better, sometimes worse, but the imaginative games were what it was about.

Fast forward and like 40% of the PC gaming population is more concerned about looking better than console and justifying their $600 GPU than they are about the length and quality of the game. AND even when a quality game that has it all comes out, they don't buy enough of it anyways.

It's like you guys with the overly powerful systems want the rest of us to suffer b/c we don't feel like subsidizing the entire gaming industry's tech advances. It's like getting mad at the cop b/c your engine came with more HP than it requires to go 70 mph. Don't be mad at him, be mad at yourself for not showing restraint.
I hear ya on all of that, but Crytek is one of the devs that threw caution to the wind and let the PC really stretch it's legs. If this was a dev that wasn't as accomplished as Crytek, I would give the thumbs up, but I expect more from Crytek because they are capable of more.

I did show restraint and sold my Eyefinity setup, 5970, GTX 480s and a bunch of other extreme stuff and settled on the 6950 and 2500K. There was no longer a need to have the most powerful system, today's mid-range GPUs run games very well. I made the right choice after playing the Crysis 2 demo, I would have been pissed to have built a extreme setup just for that game.

We'll see what happens on the 22nd.

Did you guys forget the point? Crytek released the demo because we demanded a demo and it was a xbox port to pc. The final version will NOT be a port? Please think twice!
