Wow, guys he doesnt need to have 1080p with 16xQSAA or anything. If the 3850 isnt being bottlenecked. Lower the settings. You should be good, my HD3850 E5200 rig runs it perfectly smooth on medium/high at 1280x1024

I wouldn't put that much money into an old socket. I would just get something like this and be done with it

I dont want to buy another mobo and go through reinstalling everything.
Just want to play sc2 over the summer and for a long time.

The Q8300 would last me for a while i believe, and good enough for SC2?

If it's any indication, I run SC2 with no problems on my HP tx-2 with hd3200 integrated graphics and a Turion x2 @2.2 ghz with 4 gb RAM. You really don't need to break the bank to play smoothly.
