Debating on the HAF X vs Phantom - Page 3

Well its decided now...Newegg sent out an email this morning that included a coupon for 15% off any NZXT case...I ordered my Phantom!

And one for 10% off any Corsair PSU and 10% off any RAM...so I also threw the Corsair AX850 in my cart as well as 8gbs of G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3-1600 CAS8 and stacked all the coupons for a lovely $53.50 off my entire order...

Black, White would look odd on my desk and traditionally all my computers for the last 10 years have been black with blue lighting

NZXT Phantom got support for 1 radiator (max 240). The mountings comes with the case. If you want to use more, or bigger radiators you have to mod the case

I got a Phantom, and i recomend it strongly. Very nice looking case, alot of room in it and behind the mobo tray for good cable management and airflow. And its a good case to use with the H70. HAF X probably is too, but ide pick the phantom. Then again, i got one and i havent tried the HAF X but still

"...The best cases to pair with the H70 are those that have extra room around the rear cooling fan(s) like the NZXT Phantom. This includes cases with dual 120mm fans in the back..."

I like all the features of the Phantom but I dislike these plastic molded cases with the weird shapes and stuff. They always feel so cheap and I am scared to pick them up from the bezels because they might snap off or cave in from the weight of the case pressing on my hands.

Well...we'll see, i suppose i always have the option of a return if i dislike it or something...But i really doubt it

Wow, I just blew $1300 in one day, I came home and ordered my i7-2600k CPU(I was concerned when more P67 motherboards flood the market that the price is going to go up or the i7 will get scarce), fans(Second 200mm one for the top of the case, 4x Scythe 120mm S-Flex 1900rpm fans, 2 for the side and 2 for my Corsair H50, and the 140mm one for the front of the case), eVGA GTX 570 GPU (There was a coupon for 5% off and a $30 rebate on my GTX570 its not the superclocked one but the "superclock" isnt that impressive to me, i think i can easily match those clocks with a stock card and if not i dont think it doesnt make a MASSIVE difference in performance) some cable sheathing and etc

Also got a couple rosewill cheapo 120mm fans im gutting to make ducting for the H50 like this one guy i saw did... (somewhat copying his build on the H50)

Yes I ended up with the H50, The liquid cooling ended up being a bit too pricey for me right now, i see the money better utilized in another HDD or something else...

All i need is my Sabertooth P67 and my hard drives....and ill be all set Until then when all this stuff gets here im totally going to start wiring up my fans and install my power supply

Also you know its bad when i was sitting here debating on one or TWO graphics cards...
