Help with AMD 955 c3 temps liquid cooling

Thread Starter
Hey guys I would really like some help with my rig, I have my 955 c3 running @ 4ghz stable @ 1.53v with NB @2900mhz, my cpu is water cooled with an enzotech sapphire block, swiftech qp240 radiator, and ocz hydro pulse 800lph pump. the cpu will idle at 39-40C, and max temps are 58C. to me this does not seem right. I think I could get these same temps with good air cooling?

Am i wrong? is something worng with my cpu or is this normal for these voltages and frequencies.

I've read other peoples post and with a simple corsair h50 I see better temps ... help....

That voltage is way too high for 4ghz. You should drop it down to like 1.45volts. You should see if your block needs remounted. I only get 43c max load with my chip at 1.45 volts.

Not with 1.53v you wont.
as thrasherht said drop your volts down.

Here's my temps on my old 965 C2 under a TRUE with one 38mm Panaflo.

Your temps are terrible for watercooling and your loop needs to be checked.

That voltage is too high for very low temps. You can't get stable at a lower voltage?

Yea at that voltage if makes your temps get up there pretty high.

You have a really good cool system so you are seeing much better temps then him, I would say add like 4c to your temps to get his temps he should be getting.

OP have you tried reseating you block?

ok guys i just got my graphics card back from rma, i remounted my water block, rerouted my loop. my idle temp is 36C and under full load max is 50C. so the temps went down and i am really happy ,but i still think they are a little too high. i will try to lower the voltages but last time i tried i could not get it stable. here is a screen shot... i only ran it for 8 min or so but i ran it all last night and checked it in the am. same temps...
