260gtx running a bit hotter than usual?

Thread Starter
Okay so the other day after I was finished playing starcraft2, I noticed the toolbar of my windows 7 screen went transparent and the gpu temps were starting to rise even though I was just on my desktop and they wouldn't stop rising even with full fan blow.

So I restarted my comp and everything was working normally. However I notice my gpu idle temps are 5 degrees higher than they were from before 48C-54C. I don't think my ambient temperatures have risen in the past few days. It should be noted that my load temps have not changed from before only my idle temps, and are still very safe.

Other info:

My card has been overclocked

I just dusted my case with compressed air a few days before this incident so dust is not a problem.

well hold the fan, and blow dust out of the gpu from where you pulg in monitor , use a qtip and grap the rest. you can redo the tim on the gpu and thatrwould bring it down . I was useing ocz frezze then switched to mx-3 , Just put on icd7 and the temps lower with icd7
