Is there a diffrence from the 1055T and the 1100T?

I'm planning to overclock so I don't know if there will be a difference between the two. Should I buy the 1055T or should I buy the 1100T? Short post but just wondering.

Just an easier OC with 1100T. I had a 1055T and got a 1090T later. 1055T is good if you have a good quality motherboard. Since its not BE the board has to support high FSB overclocking. With 1090T or 1110T you only need to change cpu multiplier. I wouldn't pay more then 30-40 bucks more for the 1110T over the 1055T. Plus you can usually get 1090T's for cheaper and about the same OC. Cheaper then the 1110T that is.

Ooooooooo I did not notice it was not Black Edition so I will get a 1090T then and save $40.

Good choice. Since the 1110T is the highest clock highest core cpu by AMD it has a ridiculous high price. 100mhz less at stock for 40-50 bucks less is definitely the way to go. Especially if you OC.

One more thing will DDR2 800 work with the 1090T? Newegg says something about DDR2 1066 but not DDR2 800.

that i dont know.
it should but i cant guarantee it
also it appears your board does not have vrm heatsinks and is 4+1 phase
some 4+1 phase boards have been know to die when coupled with an 125 cpus
http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/94...y-usually.html
so i would make sure and get an aftermarket heatsinks and fan for your vrms
not trying to scare you but its a know problem but as long as you dont go overboard with overclocking and have good cooling you should be alright
