Single Core processors can be made to run at ~10Ghz with todays technology, but of course not mass produced, etc...

Not really.....

Complex single core processors like the Sandy Bridge cannot run at 10GHz.... look at what phase coolers attempt to do.

Which sandy bridge model are you talking about and like I said this is not possible with a mass production process.

I remember reading something awhile ago about using bacteria as an alternate technology to current methods. (p/n junctions, etc) Apparently the little guys remember when they're carrying a small charge and easily forget when an opposite charge is applied. (or something along those lines)

You are correct sir, bacteria has been used widely in aiding of finding new ways to boost speed. Also back to my graphene, how would you guys like 100GHz

Its only a matter of some years now before we stop manufacturing chips with silicon and turn to the real deal. Wonder how they would look like in terms of size.
