ATi 4890 vs 6950

Thread Starter
If I was to sell my 4890 and get a 6950 (Then flash to a 6970) What would be the performance increase.. Would it be a lot or no. How about 2x 4890s vs a single 6950?

2 4890s would be a bit slower than a 6950. If you wont have to pay too much for the 6950 then go for it.

I changed from a 4890 to a 6950. I have not unlocked this card as the last card fried when I did it. The memory would not take the full 6970 bios. Right now my 6950 is running 900/1300 and it destroys my old 4890. My 4890 was running at 880/975. I have the same cpu as you just at 3.7ghz.

CF 4890s would put the smackdown on a single 6950

With new drivers, the 4870x2 cards are beating 6950 in a lot of benches

I went from a single 4890 to the 6950 in my sig and it's a pretty decent performance boost.
