can i crossfire ...?

can i crossfire ati redeon 5850 1gb with 6960 2gb they both are "sapphire"
my motherbord is EVGa x58 now i have ati redeon 5850 1gb my power supply is 1200W for thermaltake so i need a suggest what to do ..
buy 6960 and crossfire or there is somthig better... i need your help

No, you cannot crossfire different series, if you had a 5870 you could, or even a 5770, but 5XXX will not go with 6XXX

you can find 5870's used for around 160-180 now or new for 230ish. I just picked one up new from newegg for 200 yesterday but that was a shellshocker deal. Shop around and you can find great deals.

ok so i'll buy 5870 i'm from isreal and you know here everything is expensev somthing like $300 and tomorrow i'll buy a sony 32" FHD 50hz its good ?!!

Buying a 5870 is a waste to crossfire with a 5850.. as the 5870 will just downclock to match the 5850.

might as well just get another 5850.. I'm in the same boat as you, and was doing some reading.. the prices of the 5870s are nice, but you wont see a gain with a 5850 and 5870 vs 2x5850's.
