Preface: I came from a Sidewinder X4, I found that it was very stiff and not all that great for any non FPS games. Also I really disliked the flat key design.

Packaging: Usual black Razer box, not much to say, nothing special in the package.

Exterior Impressions: I do not like the shiny exterior, I don't see any need for and it will be difficult to keep clean, but I realize this is matter of personal choice. The choice of font is somewhat nonconventional, that is not to say the keys are hard to read (although most people considering a hundred dollar keyboard probably know how to touch type).

Backlighting is very even (as expected from the individual LEDs behind the keys). The rubber coating on the keys is also nice, although I am somewhat concerned about long term durability with such coatings.

Typing expressions: All the keys seem to have a consistent weight to them. I definitely feel that typing on a keyboard with tactile feedback results in less mistakes than with a rubber dome keyboard.

Quality: Nice and heavy. Nothing to suggest that there is anything wrong with the KB.

Misc: Note that with Realtek drivers the passthrough will not work. It seems that the driver recognizes you plugging in the cord for the KB but does not recognize it when you plug in a headphone to the port on the keyboard.

It really is a joy to type on. The hands seem to have a much more fluid motion to them.
