HTC Customer service is a joke - Page 2

They did their job, they sent him a new SD card. It's not their fault that it takes so long in the mail. Now he just keeps complaining to them he hasn't gotten it yet. ><

Not their fault it takes so long in the mail? If they say to me it will arrive by Friday, I damned well expect it by Friday, or at least a tracking number so I can see when it's due to arrive. If you order your shopping(groceries) online, and they say it will be delivered by a certain day, would you or would you not phone them and kick off if they fail to give you a straight answer as to where it is a week after it should be there? I refer back to my previous post about value of the item and how it shouldn't matter, communincation still should be expected if something is going to be late, especially when I chase it up...but what do I get? Poor grammar on numerous occasions, no clear answer as to where my product is, the promise of an email with information on as to where and when my product will be delivered, but did I receive one? No, I didn't, and i still wait for a delivery.

Anyway this thread can be locked, people fail at seeing the bigger picture and the point I was getting at.

I can understand that HTC wasn't much help but they most likely are just reading from scripts for common issues...

If you'd read my original post I'd said that there most likely is an easy fix. Try the update again, it seems to be a corrupt radio (which is software that can cause hardware to malfunction) and other stuff could potentially die if you don't try to fix it now(You don't want a USB brick before you can do this so do it now).

Will try the update again tonight and see what happens, thanks for the input.

I hope you realize that the majority of companies outsource their support...
And htc is a Taiwanese company, so some language mistakes are acceptable.
I wouldn't even consider this bad customer service. Sure they made a mistake, but after you contacted them they wanted to try and fix it. Some companies will just essentially ignore you by giving you a generic message and not doing a thing to help. htc obviously doesnt have the best support, but your rant seems a bit out of line.

I urge you to search Google for, Poor HTC Customer service.

Sure people don't post about good experiences, but the thread on the main post there is hella big.

All seem to be aimed around deliveries too.

And I'm sorry but "HTC is Taiwanese" is not a valid reason for poor grammar from there CSD, not from a company as big as they are, they will have British HQs.

Anyways back onto this update thing, how do I re-apply an update? I cannot find anything anywhere about re-installing or backdating an update?

So it won't let you update? Is it saying "your phone is already up to date blah blah"? I think a suitable option then is to get into the art of android modding, it is incredibly easy or you'll end up waiting for month potentially for HTC to release another update

Have a look through here if you are at all interested. The first sticky should be of great use
