HTC Customer service is a joke - Page 4

SD card reader, maybe I'll need one in the near future, maybe I won't. At this point in time I don't need one, not if I can fix the phone with a simple upgrade.

But surely if my partners HTC phone and digital camera can't detect the SD card, a card reader will have the same problem?

In my eyes, you are inflating a small problem. You can afford a Desire HD..and you are winching...
No offence. This is just my point of view. I would just buy a new SD card/reader.

£2.20 plus free shipping for usb card reader..

And about HTC, I have yet to see a mobile phone manufacturer that grew this quick in a small amout of time.

Once again, I am sorry if I offended anyone.

Back up a second, maybe the SD card didnt die if it wasn't recognised by your camera. Do you have another micro SD card(like from an old phone) lying around to see if your phone recognises it? I assumed that the phone part of it was dead, not the card itself.

This is a real shame as it most probably means your SD card is dead and there is no chance of getting your data off it. Secondly your phone is killing SD cards. I still recommend rooting, we have no idea what's killing it and I'm betting custom roms and radios don't have that problem.

My camera has a Micro SD I could try, i'll get everything backed up onto the pc later and give it a shot, watch this space.

As for the rooting, i've had a read and i'm going to mess about with it this weekend.

No offence taken, the phone is on contract so it was free. As for the link, thanks I might check it out if it turns out I need one.
