Changing Gigabyte X58A-UD7 for EVGA X58 3 Way... what do you think? - Page 2

I see, taking a closer look at the board, so if you use the top PCI slot for GPU 1 and the bottom PCI slot for GPU 2, then there wouldn't be enough space between GPU and PSU correct?

so a newer case would be out of the question =P, I believe the 800D would leave you w/ plenty of room between GPU 2 and PSU

SOLUTION: put the PSU in the top of the case. the put the GPU in the top and bottom PCIE slots

you have a 420 and a 280 in a cpu only loop? drop to just the 280, watch your temps stay very close to the same

i think its a downgrade. The only good evga board is the classified, the rest are utter junk, imo.

EVGA X58 Classified 3

http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...%20Family&sw=5

Sorry, i wrote the name wrong in the title

OutofBalance,
It's for CPU & Motherboard. And GPU but there's no waterblock available yet
post #18 of 24
by xfi i'm assuming you are talking about the sound blaster card

I have the same board why would you put the xfi card in the top move it to the bottom or dont use it at all

the on board audio is more than enough for anyone you wont tell any difference in it

the EVGA is a great board it was that or the gigabyte and I went gigabyte
I had a ud3 then got the ud7 for water cooling
then change the factory water block for ek blocks, should have kepts the ud3 and added the ek blocks to it but I like the led diagnostic on the ud7

EVGA has led diagnostic as well

i guess it should be fine then, i don't think you will gain anything in OC, but i do see you like the spacing. IDK i still don't think its worth it , but at least your not downgrading.

Sato... my specs are outdated... i have a Titanium HD.

So here's the catch, the UD7 doesn't give me enough room for SLi and my Titanium HD.

Green: PCIe 16x
Red: PCIe for Soundcard

While the Classified will give me the necessary space, since the motherboard has a waterblock already installed
