Little Dot MK III

Thread Starter
I was thinking of getting this amp. Anyone like it or dislike it and why, Also if you know a better amp like me know I like this one because you can roll the tubes to get better sound. I am running 250 ohm DT700, so any input on this would be nice. I also got pioneer VSX-35tx pushing headphones now.

Thanks

This is a good starter amp, I think it would suit your needs fairly well. Keep in mind that your source is also important, what are you using as the source in your setup?

I would suggest taking a look at something like this:

http://www.head-fi.org/products/musi...-02-us/reviews

In a lot of scenarios, a source upgrade will dwarf an amp upgrade. I feel like this may be one of those situations, not to say an amp wouldn't also be an improvement. On a side note, if you are looking for more personalized advice on which upgrade is best or which product to go with, Head Fi guys live for spending other peoples money

Ewww 02's...

Firstly op your question is is that a good amp and are there better ones. Of course. The MK 3 does its job, and there are plenty of better amps out there. Ear+HD :

However if your source isn't very good then it just defeats the purpose of spending over 100 for an amp. If you have some money to spend, get the Grace m902 or the new 903 when it comes out.

If you are looking for performance for both gaming and Hi-Fi (granted, this isn't really Hi-Fi quality persay, before I get shot on these forums), then the STX is the way to go.

Will satisfy your gaming needs, source needs (DAC) and your amplication needs (up to 600 ohms).

I would definitely 100% recommend that option for you.
