it is not very linear. it is still a sandbox game. it just won't be as sandbox as the first one. crysis 1 was an expansive horizontal sandbox while crysis 2 is an expansive vertical sandbox and some horizontal or so it seems to be the way that crytek is describing it. there seems to be everything from fighting on the street to rooftop, to in buildings, to under the streets in the sewers, etc.

What? So a game is sandbox if you are sent to different locations? Those are just locations, like every other game. It doesn't look like you can beat a level doing it your way(take whichever route you want to).

Seems more like the second half of the first game, which was pretty linear. Going off of what people have played in the leak.

Keep in mind this is a console game. That may or may not bother people, but that is what it is.

it's not a console game. CE3 makes it so that you don't have a console port. the demo is just a demo and most probably a rushed demo that was made for the 360 first. i honestly believe that only because of all the negative talk about not getting a demo is the reason why crytek releasesed the demo for the pc in the first place.

I don't know how the official game is going to be played out but I read that it's not a cooridor shooting-linear game.

what do you mean they are just locations? as far as I know your suppose to still be capable of beating the missions however you want, just using less horizontal mapping and more vertical mapping. Image crysis 2 as a small island, with multiple islands stacked on top of it. Noone will know exactly how it will play until game time but if it's like I said it is then it will be a good game still.

I actually enjoy the demo. I mean there's bugs here and there but it's still worth it to check it out.
