lol, Of course retail sales are falling with digital distribution leading pc gaming away from hard copies.

I didn't enjoy Crysis when it first came out either, but I do now appreciate what it achieved for it's time. And I do still have the odd game of the original.
I just don't feel that this game is pushing any boundaries, it may aswell be bioshock 1, certainly controls like it lol

Crysis was about as generic as shooters come. The only thing it had going for it that stood out from the crowd was its graphics. How it even got to a sequel is beyond me.

I disagree. If you plowed through the game, maybe. However, if you learned to have some fun with the game, it actually stands out. It's one of the few shooters I've played that do not limit you; there are quite a few ways to play through and handle each situation.

Have either of you watched NanoSuitNinja's Crysis videos on youtube? His Ironman runs? Playing the game in one life on Delta difficulty teaches you to try. Take out a gunship with C4 strapped to a barrel. Haven't seen that before.

Well, I don't feel offended. I'm just sad that you can see how consoles impact games.. the nanosuit now only supports armor and cloak mode, the other stuff is kinda always running(power jump, sprinting draining energy) = basically it requires less skill. By the looks of the SP gameplay, the maps are actually quite linear compared to the original where you had an island. Now it's just a road down the street.

But I guess theres nothing we can do, just gotta wait for the new consoles to arrive so that we can see better stuff and hopefully get out of this linear stuff. Anyway, the mp is still enjoyable but yeah - it isn't the original Crysis anymore, but hey - Crytek wants money and EA wants it, can't blame anyone. They are working with the things they have.

youll be waiting til 2015 or 2016.... thats the expected end of the 360/PS3 generation according to MS. PS3 will probably last longer due to it being a BD player that attempts to play games

Yeah, I raged at the "Press start". I don't know about you guys, but I don't have a start button on my keyboard.

Then I went into options to change my video settings and saw auto aim. I facepalmed so hard that my hand went through my skull. Picture related.

I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the original Crysis, but playing the Crysis 2 demo feels like they made it even worse. It's basically Crysis of Duty 2: Future Warfare.

I actually kind of like the new streamlined nanosuit. Controlling your character doesn't need to require skill. The best games are able to be picked up easily, but take time to master. Controls should feel as natural and intuitive as possible, not be a part of the challenge. I agree on the SP maps though from what I've seen. Really was hoping they would be more like Crysis than Warhead. Clearly a design decision to improve performance on lower-end machines and consoles.
