before you get into a game though, if you ever do, is an entirely different story. my game freezes for minutes at a time every time i click anything, from the servers tab, to the refresh button, to join game.
95% of the time i fail to connect to a server then my game freezes again and an alt tab and some waiting gives me a second try.
BUT: when i finally get into a game (and I don't leave for a while) it is incredibly fun, and I get a solid 30-50 FPS on hardcore, and perpetualy 60 at "Gamer" graphics settings. They look almost exactly the same to me. in fact it seems that, as was the case in the peice of garbage everyone loves and bows to called Crysis and Crysis: Warhead, they seem to just pile on every graphical effect they could get their hands on regardless of what it does to improve (or subtract) from the overall presentation.
anyway, it runs great in game so that's 90% of the battle there. very fun.
