superior in what way? graphically? sure. but console is cheaper, easier to use, more widely supported, is more conducive to playing local co-op or multiplayer, lasts longer....

This is a slap in the face to PC Gamers. I hope all they did here was port the 360 demo to PC, cause they didn't even remove the "PRESS START TO CONTINUE" crap.

Glad I didn't pre-order, I reserve my judgement of the full game until it comes out.

The game will still rock. Stop raging everyone and think with your other head for a bit. The DX11 renderer is already in development and has been for a while. They are still busy working out the bugs and improving it. EA don't want to delay the release date again (money, money, money), so Crytek are forced to include it in a patch so they can finish it off properly. See everyone they are trying to make PC gamers feel special. If they really didn't care they would have just given us DX9 and said deal with it.

Crysis 1 was a big success only because of its benchmark capabilities(if you call poor coding a benchmark). The game looked pretty sure, but the actual game play itself was horrid. Sure you can get headshot sniped by an enemy with a sub machine gun from across the map, but when you go to shoot someone you unload 30 rounds into their torso and they end up popping back up and shooting you i the back 15 seconds later. How fun.

I really don't understand why most people automatically go towards the idea that the game will suck. Maybe you don't realize that the DEMO may be the direct console pull in order to utilize more time towards fine tuning the real game. I see the glass as half full, but so many people see it as half empty.

this.
i'll wait a bit. press start to continue made me gag.
and the lack of graphical settings!

i hope the demo is the ONLY thing they ported over and not the full game. dont let me down crytek. ive supported them since 2006 and i dont want to take crytek off my 'devs that care for PC gamers' list
btw heres the list:
VALVE
Blizzard (iffy)
indie devs
Crytek (iffy...we shall see...)
Bethesda
