Especially when they have not seen the full product. Just wait for the reviews/release of the game before you judge it.

The trouble is you did not read the post that started this thread properly.

That "one person" specifically said in the last sentence he was not going to make a rushed judgment and say the game will be bad.

What he said, and what most of us are saying is that:

1. the demo has a lot of console stuff in it. Not just the Start to continue, that is always mentioned because it's the most blatantly evident one; but above all it is the lack of respect for the community that made Crytek what it is now. If it wasn't enough for them to release the demo first on the Xbox 360, then they don't even take 5 minutes to polish the demo for the PC. And that is insulting.

2. we are talking about the demo. And the demo is supposed to be for the consumer to evaluate. It is not a beta; it's supposed to be feature complete. Trouble is, it isn't (no DX11, no detailed graphical settings, etc).

Maybe they should have called it a beta. But since the Xbox 360 demo release and the 'nobody is apparently to blame for' beta leak, except generally calling out on piracy, they probably felt embarrassed enough to call it a beta.

But since this is a demo and not a beta, and since they have said nothing about the news from 2 days ago that the full release is also going to be in DX9, with DX11 coming later, we have every single reason to not only evaluate the demo, but also to discuss what we think the game release will be like if it does turn out to be like it seems likely given the evidence.

If you had pre-ordered and payed in advance € 49,99 for a game like Crysis 2 and then were given a DX9 only demo for evaluation, and knowing you weren't going to be playing in DX11 on day one, how would you feel ?

Is that the way they have to thank the community for putting their money on Crytek's bank account ahead of time ? At least consoles are getting what they paid for on day one. DX9. We are not.

Like I said earlier, maybe they should have just released the PC version later, so as not to affect console sales because of graphics quality comparisons, but instead they just handled this situation miserably.

I have to admit, I have not been impressed by the graphics of this game
I feel like Cevat Yerli has once again exaggerated the qualifications of his companies product, remember he siad that Crysis would need a quad core to run maxed out
but we have learned the a highly OCed (4.0ghz.) dually will run it just fine if your cards are up to the task.
The admit it part is that I am still playing the demo almost every night when I get home from work
Still feel like I am playing a COD4 mod with nerfed graphics

Why could you not run it?
Your system looks more than qualified to run the Xbox port

Like I said earlier, maybe they should have just released the PC version later, so as not to affect console sales because of graphics quality comparisons, but instead they just handled this situation miserably.

Come on, from the way he wrote the first post it was obviously going to ignite bad reactions.

He complained about autoaim but if he used common sense or even looked at a few other posts he would realise that it only works if you are using a controller.

He complained about the rushed port not taking into account that it was only rushed because PC gamers spammed Crytek forums with thousands of posts complaining so they ported it.

He complained about graphics not taking into account that Crysis 1 had lower graphics for the MP portion. Everybody conveniently forgets this. And remember Crysis want as many people to try the demo as possible without lag so it makes sense to leave out DX11.

Have a sense of perspective. Everybody is ranting and raving over Homefront in backlash to the Crysis 2 demo, although Homefront has not released a demo. Could it be because if they did the backlash would be worse? Now you can buy the game and if it turns out bad then no refund. Give Crysis some credit here. It has such a big rep on the PC that it did not have to put out a demo and everybody would still buy it.

There is nothing wrong with discussing the game, I just find it incredibly childish when people write "F you Crytek you sold your soul to the console noobs I hope nobody buys this crap MAXIUM CONSOLE LMAO". Just offer some constructive criticism e.g. "I have heard the game will ship without DX11 and this worries me, can I have an official word on the matter? I would like more graphical options can you please sort it as this is not fit for a PC customer" etc. And everyone assumes that the demo will just like the final product because most are, at least witness it first hand or read a review to verify this.

Telling everyone that they don't care about PC gamers and not to bother buying the game before you even know what the final product contains is not good. How can you say that they have treated you like dirt when in their moment of need you just turn your back on Crytek without giving them the benefit of the doubt? Be fair.

And for those that doubt the power of its graphics take a look at this SP footage running on DX9. Watch it in HD. Undeniably beautiful. Now imagine what it will look like running on DX11. Don't listen to the whiners, stop speculating and hold your tongue till the full release.

Gotta be honest- it's growing on me!

I still despise the killstreak rewards, but compared to crysis and crysis wars, many elements of the MP DO look better. The one exception is the water, which Crytek should be ashamed of.

EDIT: And the player models.

And the guns...

and the...

god damn... MP might have been improved, but the original crysis looks 100 times better than crysis 2...

I don't get Crysis at all. Cost just as much as the game its knocking off of. Least the Chinese get it right with bootlegged stuff, you know. They sell it for less.
