Intel 510 series SSD on Newegg

I waited for these to come out. Was going to buy for $280 like they said they would be. $315 is too much. Sorry Intel, I'm going to pass on you

But cudos for being on time with the March 1st launch!

$35 dollars (about 13% increase) is too much? If money is that tight you need to reconsider purchasing an SSD all together.

I know right. $250 was my ceiling for an ssd. Than when I saw the 510 specs decided it was worth the extra $30. Its the same old argument. Just $30 more. Just $50 more. For every component for that matter. It never ends. But that thing is nasty.

I couldn't agree more but I wouldn't make the $35 a breaking point.
The transfer speeds are crazy, well worth it IMO.

The speeds aren't as fast but it will be $100 cheaper, or close to it. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4086/m...s-415mbs-reads

The Intel drive has double the cache as the C400.

250 was original budget of CtrlAltElite, he added 30 to it already, now to add next 35 $ will blow everything up... for 65 you can buy nice psu or not best, but still good, case. or ram, or cpu. anyway it will be one component less to buy/upgrade.
