your temps dont seem right, but a 0.1v increase is quite a lot of extra heat, that kind of temp change is easy to achieve...

Not at that low of a voltage and 32nm. His temperatures are too high for that low of an overclock.

Those temps seem rather high to me and I would expect the H70 cooler to be WAY better than my old Zalman air cooler. For my 2500K, I needed 1.33v to achieve 4.5GHz, but my temps never got over 70C in Prime95 (ran for 10 hours).

Something is wrong here. What are you using for TIM? I hope the stock shin etsu one...it's pretty darn good from what I've read and better than AS5.

Thats seems rather high.
I archieved the same temperatures when i was still using the stock cooler o.0
Now with my schythe mugen 2 it maxes out @ 74c prime95 on 5Ghz.

You did remove the plastic cover on the heatsink-base right? Just saying, i have had people in the pc store i work in that made that mistake.

using as5, any idea where i can get the stuff that comes stock with the H70? must be in the UK though

its annoying me so much, reseated the cooler AGAIN, probably the 8th time now, tried all different ways to put the TIM on and the one that got the most coverage was a half pea sized blob in the middle, so thats what I've done, I've tried my rad with the pipes at the top, bottom, left, right, no noticable change

right now my temps are 31-33c idle, will run prime again soon, voltage is 1.232v, I tried stock, instant blue screen when loading windows, tried 1.2v, blue screen as soon as i started prime95, 1.21 was soon after prime started

Really not impressed with the H70 right now... will try the stock TIM if I can get any in the UK, if not then I'll probably sell it and go for a full water cooling loop

Mine is OCed to 4.4ghz and I use the H70 also. My ambient temps are around 19C. The highest temp I got under load was 68C. Your temps are a bit high.

I think it must be the TIM... I'll try get some of the stuff that comes stock with the H70, also going to invest in some better fans, my ambiant temps are about the same as yours I would guess, I don't have a thermometer to check though, the next time I go into town I'll see if anywhere sells them lol

Using H70, Asus p8p67 delux, 2600k cpu @ 4.4 ghz, 8 gigs corsair vengeance ram @ 1600 c8, 570 gtx sc gpu, in a cooler master atcs 840.
I started Prime 95 about 50 minutes ago and am using Real Temp 3.67 to monitor temps.
Abient temp in room is 75 farenhiet (24C) .
Temps are holding in upper 50's to lower 60's, with highest temp in the last 50 minutes 65F (18C).
I believe I got the Shin Etsu at New Egg.com
My h70 has a slight dish in the cooler plate. The reason I noticed this is when I mounted it the second time I used a super thin spread with credit card and temps were too high.
I took it off and noticed it was only contacting the TIM on the edges of the cooler plate, and was not making contact in the middle.
Next time I applied the shin etsu more liberally and applied it in a X on the cpu, and didnt try to spread it manually, but just installed the cooler and allowed the pressure to spread the TIM. Give the plate a slight "twist" when it is almost tight but still moveable for good measure.
If your cooler is like mine you will likely need a little heavier application of the TIM to fill in the slight void in the middle of the cooler plate caused by it not being perfectly flat.

I top out at 60degC with an H50 cooler with the same processor at 4.4. It idles around 33 or so.
