Unlocking AMDs Question

Thread Starter
I have found plenty of info on how to unlock AMD cores, but nothing is said about what happens if you get one that doesn't unlock. Do you just change the settings in BIOS and everything goes back to normal? Are there any risks like in OCing?

you should be able to go back into the bios if its an unstable unlock. if you cant, pull the cmos battery and leave it out for a few minutes. everything should reset.
ive never heard of anything bad happening from unlocking unless it was a junk board.
ie: too much voltage used
