Twin Frozr II GTX 560TI SLI Overclock ?

Thread Starter
Hello!

Im messing around with my recently purchased 560's and I seem to have a good spot on the OC with 1.012v/960/2400.

My temps are hovering around the high 60's, but this will drop once I get a get a new case (since my Antec 900 is crowded now)

I have a few questions here.

1) If I lower the memory clock, will this free up voltage for my core...or does it not matter?

2) Is my overclock possibly too high for SLI?

3) Is my Corsair HX850 good enough to power these cards, with the overclock I stated? I also have a i980x at 4ghz, 2x150 Raptors and 1xSSD

Thanks in advance?

These are pretty low for a GPU. Nothing to worry about. My GPU is around 85c :<

Shouldn't matter.

There's no such thing. Your cards will need to be running the same clocks, so the real question is: "Can my next card run these clocks?"

You've got more power than you need.

You could get 1ghz easy with those cards in SLI they do 100c and shrug it off all day long...

I tried pushing 1ghz with them, it was requiring upwards of 1.075v to get them running without freezing/locking up. The power draw was too high in my opinion, as I felt I was reaching my PSU's limit.

My twinfrozr 560 :

core clock: 975mhz
memory clock: 2160 (will increase more, still have no tried it past this point)
temp : Does not passes 50°.

I've been trying to hit 1ghz but it becomes unstable after 975mhz on my card, how can you get 1ghz.

Im also wondering if lowering my memory clocks will increase my headroom for my core?

I don't recall this making a difference in my old videocards, but perhaps things have changed?

560Ti SLI in overclock states should run about what 450-500w maybe 550W in TPD a 750W would beable to hold the SLI OC'd and proccessor being at 4ghz+.

the 560ti TPD is 170 Watts, 19 watts more then a 6870 in TPD and people are doing 4ghz or more with 6870's being OC'd to 1ghz memory and so on on 650w i believe.

850w is more then enough to power 570 SLI i think maybe a 580 SLI(im guessing on the 580).

you probably dont need to decrease the memory clock perhaps the shader clocks can be decrease. I might be wrong dont take my advice since im not sure lol but i think the shader clocks has something to do with it. i'm trying to reach a benchmark of at least p4860 in performance and x1650 in extreme on 3dmark11.
