I found out about the 2500k from the intel problems I'm pretty new to this stuff so when I saw a bunch of posts about the problem I was really interested. Allot of people are probably going to buy them now. April's such a long time to wait, by then there will probably be something even better coming out that I'll end up waiting t'ill summer for...

Well, considering Microcenter is going to have boards available this Thursday... I'd expect many retailers to have boards in stock by next week possibly.

_ Cross fingers and Pray for next week! I need a damn Motherboard so bad, its been bugging me_ I recently purchased the i72600k and with no motherboard its killing me to look at it while its sitting on my desk everyday.. along with all the other goodies I have for my SB Build_

If I have to wait til April, I will go crazy.. =P

Oh the pain of waiting...

Doesn't the problem only affect like 15% of P67 motherboards???
That means only 1 out of 7 people are infected.
Correct me if i'm wrong!?

And what did Intel do to find this problem?
Would be great if there were a test to help consumers tell if their motherboard is affected or not.

Looks like boards are starting to trickle in. I'm assuming these are B3's.

Those extra ports are not Intel ports. There are only 6 Intel ports (max) on all P/H67 boards; 2 SataIII and 4 SataII. Some of the higher end boards contain additional Sata controllers from Marvell or Jmicron and any ports on these controllers (SataII or SataIII) are unaffected.

15% for heavy duty use over the course of 3 years and 5% for normal usage over the course of 3 years.
