Checking the install folder, I'm seeing DX10 and DX11 files there. So yeah, this might be fake...

The BETA was/is reportedly buggy, so they may have the DX9 release first just so that they can release all platforms at the same time if the DX11 is not ready.

That being said, this may be possible but does not feel right. What are they going to do market two games and have the DX11 edition as the high end version? Does not make sense to me to do this.

O/T Edit: When I seen your user name, it reminded me of the Russian JJ vacuum tubes.

I doubt it will be released with only dx9. If so, Crytek will fall off the map pretty quickly.

Seams to be genuine. No DX11 in leaked beta. No DX11 in demo. No DX11 in retail.

They seem to be quite late if they don't have DX11 in the demo yet; game's coming out in a few weeks.

Crytek has become mainstream. Is Crysis 2 on the Wii yet? Can't wait for some Nunchuck alien action.

Source is trolling based on the obviously incomplete leaked beta and crappy demo. It's nothing but speculation.

Or maybe this is all part of cryteks master plan.
If crysis 2 is released in DX9 only, the PC version of it will be pirated to hell and back in retaliation. Then crytek blames piracy for the failure of the PC version of crysis 2 and drops the PC platform. This way they can make console games with set hardware without the need to code for the 40 billion different architectures on the PC platform. All that coding time and money could be better spent on a console elsewhere, and would probably be much much more profitable. They then switch from EA to activison, rage quit, rejoin EA and sue activision.

I can tell you from a pretty reputable source that it DOES support DX11...

A birdie told me that in the leaked version of the game, in the bin64 folder, you can find D3D11 files and other DX11 doohickies. But you didn't hear it from me.

And apparently also in the bin32 folder.

Yeah guys dont believe this unless the source is from Crytek. I have seen DX11 files in the beta and leak and people who have messed with the sandbox say there is a unused Graphic setting "Very High". I will be very disappointed if this is a recent demo is indicative of the final product. Lets hope that Crytek hasn't sold out too much for the consoles.
