800 dollar gaming build. Comments/Suggestions/Help

Thread Starter
Not to long ago I posted a thread (http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ggestions.html) asking about a 500 dollar gaming PC.

The advice I received was so good that I was hoping to be helped again. My budget is 800 dollars (including shipping) this time and I need everything except a monitor. I'm hoping to buy everything off of Newegg.

I don't really mind if the build is Intel or AMD.

Used parts?

I'd prefer if they weren't used, I guess. I don't really know much about that.

What do you think of this build?

Here's my suggestion

There's room for taxes and a monitor

i didn't have a hdd or dvd drive in there did i...oops

umm, i would save myself a bit and get the 955 ahead of the 965 since i assume you are going to overclock it.

Also wouldn't bother with most pre-overclocked graphics cards...do that yourself if you'd like. Also have seen a test where a stock clocked version overclocked better then the factory overclocked version.

See if you can make something work with the 6950 I linked. If you get lucky you can turn it into a 6970 and get some really great bang for your buck

Okay, this is looking like my final build. I forgot to add an optical drive but I picked this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136216

Will everything work together without an issue? Just checking before I order.

Edit: That PSU seems a little pricey. I understand it's important not to skimp on the PSU, but is what I have really necessary for this build?

Edit 2: I guess with the MIR it's not that bad.
