RAM Voltage

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

Quick question for you. I have RAM that is designed to run at 2.2-2.3v. My question is: Do I need to set the voltage to 2.2-2.3v? Or; does the Bios automatically set it there?

Note: My Bios doesn't tell me what voltage the RAM is at, it only gives me the option to increase from .1 to .6v.

Are you very sure your RAM is intended to run at 2.3? Seems very high for DDR2..

EDIT: Do NOT run DDR2 at 2.3v, it will probably burn. According to JEDEC, 2.3 is the very maximum, beyon which DDR2 gets permanent damage.
The absolute *usable* maximum is 1.9v.

Well, if Kingston says so...
BIOS will not run it by default at 2.2, you should set it manually.
