Second computer build AMIDOINGITRIGHT?

AUSTRALIAN!

Ok so i'm building a computer similar to mine, for my girlfriends dad and I have an $800 budget and this is what I have come up with.

CPU: $229 1090t
GPU: $144HD 5770
RAM: $55G.Skill 1600Mhz
SSD: $145Vertex2 60Gb
MOB: $125870a UD3
CASE: $55Antec 300
FANS: $38Xigmatek 140MM Fan x 2
DVD: $21
PSU: (Going to use the PSU out of my rig because I know it handles this system to a 4Ghz overclock)

I chose this build because it just fits the $ amount and it's pretty much the same as my rig and my rig screams. I think if my rig got any faster I wouldn't notice it because most things happen before my eyes see the change haha.

Anyhow the only thing i'm not so sure about is the motherboard... Can I get the same sort of motherboard for cheaper? I just went with a safe bet because I don't know so much about the FSB and PCI-E slots and what ram fits etc. HELP!

Feel free to list any alternatives i'm happy to consider

Looks good to me I'd comment on the price-performance but I'm not too familiar with that store
Case I would consider swapping out, cable management is about as good/bad as Antec 300 on that case

In terms of price to performance this is as good as it gets in Australia :/ some stores charge $400 for the 1090t here!

Picked that case because I can fit a 140 in front and a 140 across from the cpu as well as empty slots for another 140 on the side and a 120 on the bottom later on. Whereas the Antec 300 and other similarly priced are nearly all 120MM fans... Have any alternatives from these stores?

Not sure where you live, but all those parts are CHEAPER on Newegg.com. The case is currently out of stock until March 21. The fans you have listed are not available at Newegg, but they have tons of comparable fans. But like I said EVERYTHING is cheaper there, by a considerable amount. Enough to maybe even upgrade some parts or maybe get yourself something (payment for building him a awesome computer hehe)

Changed the case from the 370 to the antec 300 actually... I think it looks a little slicker and instead of one 140mm 63CFM fan is has space for 2 x 120mm fans which will push 122CFM

Not sure if you overlooked it or if he already has one, but does he need another hdd?

A 60GB vertex 2 probably won't be enough for ALL his stuff.
