Corsair F120 - Setup

Hi All

I recently purchased a Corsiar F120 120gb SSD... I installed it into my system and did the following...

Plugged it in (SATA, and PSU)
Turned PC on went to bios... In Storage Configuration I set the "OnChip SATA Type" from IDE to AHCI
Rebooted and booted from my Vista CD.
Installed Vista on the new Corsair F120 drive.
After Vista finished installing I turned off the pagefile (at a later date I put the pagefile onto my spare 1tb drive)
Turned off scheduled defragments
Turned off superfetch

This is what Ive done so far... Im just wondering since I have no knowledge on SSD at all... If there is anything Ive missed? Is there like a driver I need to download or any more things to turn off/on etc?

Thanks

Check the guide over at thessdreview...very thorough.

What controller do u havebit connected to? What PC Mark Vantage hdd score do u see?

Im about 25% slower than what I should be according to some sites...33K vs 45K.

I believe TRIM is only on Windows 7?

I havent tried any benchmarks yet though I will at some point.

Exactly...I have a choice of the Marvell 9120 6Gbps or the Intel ICH10 3Gbps SATA controllers on the P7P55D-E Pro.

Things seem to be working alright now that I've got all the tweaks going from thessdreview's guide.

I just did a PC Mark Vantage run... And compared to a F120 review I found Im wayyy down in performance:

HDD1: 18.652
HDD2: 90.45
HDD3: 130.769
HDD4: 33.093
HDD5: 76.744
HDD6: 176.014
HDD7: 17.524
HDD8: 15.891

Compared to this review:

Here's what I'm looking @ now...

F90PCMarkVantage34022ICH10AHCI.jpg

My Score ~ 34,022
Techgage ~ 33,007
The SSD Review ~ 43,188

I believe Techgage would have been using ICH9, but I've no idea whether TSR went w/ the Marvell 6Gbps or ICH10.
