460 getting 18fps on crysis 2 - Page 4

post #31 of 39
I was running very smooth at 1920x1080 on Hardcore. Using FRAPS though it wouldnt go over 60, flickered between 59 and 60 most of the time.

Oh wait, thats cuz of V Sync right? Looks nice and plays smooth but I suck at it.

Here 460 768mb @ 850 gets 40fps at hardcore 1680x1050, with gamer config around 60-80fps.

@corky

That kinda makes sense.
There's your problem. Your card, for whatever reason, is reverting back to 2D clocks. Could be a driver problem, or an unstable overclock.

Try stock settings and give it another whirl. If that doesn't work try setting max performance in the NVIDIA control panel. If that still doesn't work, update/re-install drivers using the latest version of Driver Sweeper.

I have somewhat similar problem- about 45-50fps with min. fps around 30 on gtx460 1gb 820/4000 and q9550 4ghz, both totally stable in all other games. And thats on GAMER settings. Other people are reporting that they have 60-80fps with similar rigs on Gamer. It's wierd. BTW i don't really care about it anymore because I uninstalled the game. It is total console BS, fail of the year IMO.

Yea same here but at 1920x1080 resolution on advanced. Make sure you are using newest nvidia drivers. Also the asus drivers are crap there is a bunch of added stuff like performance drivers which i dont know what the hell they're for. i just went direct to nvidias website, and used msi afterburner to overclock.
